Peer Mentoring

Peer mentoring is when an older student works with, and supports, a younger student through any difficulties from friendships to academic problems.

Our Peer Mentors
Our year 10 / 11 students who are fully trained and committed to delivering a quality Mentoring programme. They also have the opportunity to work towards their Duke of Edinburgh qualifications.

How it works
All year 7′s are allocated at least three peer mentors in each tutor group when they start their transition from year 6 to year 7. The mentors work alongside each tutor to support the pastoral programme and ensure the mentees are independent, comfortable and happy within the first year at Coombe Dean.
