We then returned to the dining area and ordered a meal from the ‘lunch rapide’ menu. The lunchtime offer meant that we could choose a two course meal (from starter,/main/dessert). We chose a main course and dessert. For main we had pan fried skate with cabbage and red wine nut dressing and cottage pie with a green leaf salad. The fish was lovely and fresh, bought from Looe Fish Market that morning.

On12th February the Hospitality Diploma students went on a trip to the Hoe and Barbican. Whilst on the Barbican we went to Chloe’s Restaurant for lunch.
First of all we were shown around the kitchen and met the owner/chef, Pierre. He showed us the different workstations and explained the workflow, which was interesting as the kitchen was very small and everything needed to be close to hand.

The cottage pie was delicious and was presented very well. For dessert we ordered cheese board and chocolate mousse. The mousse was presented on a piece of Cornish slate and we tasted lots of unusual cheeses...
