Applying for a place at Coombe Dean…

We are delighted that you are considering Coombe Dean School for your son/daughter, and we appreciate that this is a worrying time for families.

Should you have any questions at any stage of the process you should contact our Transition Officer Mrs Nikki Gould who will be able to answer all your questions.

She can be contacted on 01752 482924 email: ngould@coombedean.co.uk or use the form at the bottom of this page.

We hope that the following might help you through this very important process:

We want you to be certain that Coombe Dean is the right choice for your son/daughter.  We offer the following opportunities to prospective students and their parents:

  • Attending one of our Information Evenings – The next Information Evening for Years 4/5 is on Thursday 15th June 2017 , at 7pm.
  • Meeting with key members of Coombe Dean staff (Senior Leadership Team, Teaching and Learning Support Coordinator, Head of Key Stage 3, Primary Liaison Coordinator)
  • Tour of the school during the school day
  • Pupil shadowing for Year 6 pupils

Should you choose Coombe Dean for your son/daughter, we have a highly effective programme to ensure your child settles quickly into secondary school.

The admission arrangements for Coombe Dean School adhere to the School Admissions Code.  The Governors of the school are the admissions authority.

NB. Following consultation in relation to the feeder status of Hyde Park Junior School, the Governors of Coombe Dean School have decided not to include Hyde Park Junior School as a feeder school to Coombe Dean as doing so could result in an objection based on contravention of the Admissions Code.
