Year 7 have been learning about how Dartmoor has changed between the Bronze Age and the Stone Age; focusing on life in roundhouses and the mystery of the stone rows and circles.
Inspired by his Home Learning History lessons; Louie N and his Dad have been doing a lot of walking. They have been on the Moors over lockdown; up and down tors and to different monuments. This is a picture of Louie in the ruins of a roundhouse in the Bronze Age settlement at Leeden Tor, Dartmoor. There are many of these ruins at this site.
Aren’t we lucky to live so close to such ancient history. Why not take a day trip to Dartmoor this summer, and bring your history lessons to life! Take a selfie and bring it in to your History teacher in September.
