Duke of Edinburgh Award Celebration Evening

Friday saw the first Duke of Edinburgh Award Celebration Evening for students who have completed their Bronze and Silver Award. Students were able to attend with their families to receive their Bronze or Silver Certificate and badge.

This is my first year as Duke of Edinburgh Award Manager, and it has been amazing to work with the students and watch them grow their skill level – and give back to the local community. Supporting the Silver Duke of Edinburgh Students on Exmoor on the hottest weekend of the year, to seeing the first group of Bronze students collecting their certificates – there have been so many highlights.
It is worth remembering that we run Bronze, Silver and Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award Schemes, and students have until they are 25 years-of-age to complete it. Students can take part in Bronze from Year 9, Silver from Year 10 and Gold when they turn 16.
I would like to thank Mr K Willis for all his work with organising and running the expeditions for all three levels, and for all the support from the Parents and Carers who have supported their children in completing awards.

Well done to the following deserving award recipients:
