Dear Parent/Carer,
To comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Coombe Dean School requires parental consent before using photographs or video recordings of your child for purposes which are not part of its core activities.
Your consent allows us to use photos of your child in official school publications and media outlets (e.g. school website, official school Facebook page) and school displays. It will allow our official school photographers from Tempest Photography, who take photographs for our school records on the first day of school, to contact you to offer these pictures to you for sale.
Your consent is vital: good publicity helps us to thrive, which helps us to appoint and retain the very best staff – which is vital to our whole community. Pictures of young people achieving and enjoying learning create a positive, vibrant and welcoming atmosphere for our community. It is worth remembering how important the pictures and videos were that you saw in our brochures and at information evenings. They helped to inform you about Coombe Dean and this enabled you to make an informed choice.
We take great care to ensure that photographs used for publicity are of high quality and that everyone is happy with them. My guarantee to you is that we will only be satisfied with the photographs we publish if you and your children are happy with them. This is what the law requires – but, most importantly, we want to respect your wishes because good relationships are at the heart of all we do.
To provide your consent, please complete the form below.
Yours faithfully,
K Dyke
