Primary Schools Cross Country

The first of our primary schools festivals took place at Coombe Dean last Wednesday. 18 primary schools came to run the toughest and longest of the cross country courses, organised by the PSSP (Plymouth School Sports Partnership) and supported by Coombe Dean Sports Leaders.

Many thanks to; Haydon S, Oli S, Robyn T, Milly M, Abi J, Jack S, Harry H, Lewis C and Lilli S, who all took on car park, haring, finish line and medal awarding duties throughout the afternoon. A number of visiting staff and parents commented on our students acting as positive role models by giving up their time to volunteer, as well as motivating pupils to do their best – so a big well done, and thanks!

The next of the primary festivals takes place on Wednesday 16th October,  where Year 9s will have the opportunity to work with  Key Stage 2 pupils from local primary schools in a Multi-Skills Festival.
