Reach Out This Christmas

With the Christmas holidays just around the corner and the excitement building among many of our children, spending time with friends and family, eating, drinking and being merry is what Christmas is all about…right?

Whilst this is undoubtedly the experience for many each year, it isn’t the case for everyone.

Life can throw a curve ball sometimes and for whatever that reason may be, plans and expectations can go out of the window instead of coming down the chimney with Father Christmas.

Some of us that have found ourselves in circumstances that are unfamiliar; such as using food banks when our income just doesn’t make ends meet and thinking of Christmas fills us with dread.

With all of this in mind, particularly at this time of year, I wanted to take this opportunity to make our community aware that there is help and support available and there is no shame or judgement made in asking for it.
