Peer pressure can be a positive force when it is for a good cause. Now that we have introduced our Red Litter Days this week, I am confident we will quickly see a spirit of mutual support in which everyone in our school community plays a part in protecting the environment.
I hope that I will never have to close the snack facilities mid-morning. It would be a shame if the actions of a minority of students should have consequences for everyone. But just remember: when it comes to the environment, the actions of each and every one of us have massive implications for the existence of all life on earth. The stakes are incredibly high.
We can make a difference at the start of the new school year. Let’s protect our beautiful grounds at Coombe Dean School and continue to enjoy the full benefits of our wonderful canteen.
