Results of the Remote Learning Survey

Thank you for your support of our young people and happy half term from all Coombe Dean staff!

There is no doubt that the last 6 weeks have been challenging and very different from ‘normal’ school.  We have been reviewing the parent and student remote learning surveys that closed on Monday morning and we have been summarising the feedback that we have received as well as following up issues that we can support with such as access to wifi, devices and materials to support learning.

We had hundreds of responses to the survey from students and we wanted to share with you in particular their responses to one of the questions that we asked: ‘in what ways have your family supported your learning?’

Our learners and your children have clearly benefitted from considerable support from their families in so many cases, discussing how their learning is going, encouraging them, discussing how they feel, helping them plan their time, helping them with their work and to find information, getting in touch with a teacher or school and helping them understand their work.

We think you are very deserving of a ‘week off’ remote learning!  Thank you for your support, particularly at this time.  We greatly appreciate it, but, more importantly, so do your children.  We’ll be back on Tuesday 23rd February.
