Summary of Key Aspects of Letter from Gavin Williamson to Ofqual

The Education Secretary, Gavin Williamson, wrote to the exams regulator Ofqual yesterday to set out his steer on how his department feels grades should be generated for GCSEs, AS and A levels this year.I have summarised the key elements, which are aimed at keeping you as informed as we are at this stage.

No firm decisions have been taken, and there will be a consultation launched this week that will last for a fortnight.  I will signpost the consultation when it is published – please do contribute your views to this.
