The Duke Of Edinburgh Award programme has proven incredibly influential when seeking employment, and equips participants with invaluable direction, dedication, team work and resourcefulness – virtues that last a lifetime.

At Coombe Dean, students from Year 9 upwards are given this exciting and rewarding opportunity. We offer the Bronze award from Year 9 upwards, Silver from Year 10 upwards and Gold from 16 years upwards. Coombe Dean have Post 16 students that are currently completing their Bronze, as well as some who are working towards completing their Gold.

The Duke of Edinburgh Award is made up of four modules; Volunteering, Skills, Physical and Expedition, with students needing to complete each module for a set period of time. The Gold award has a further Residential module.
