This week marks not only Trafalgar Day on 21st October, but also Apple Day and World Pasta Day – plus we have also been celebrating the glorious winter vegetable; the humble and sometimes overlooked Pumpkin, especially as Halloween is fast approaching.
Our Year 9 Hospitality groups and Catering Team have all been developing and making a selection of seasonal Pumpkin based dishes for this, along with some fun pumpkin carving too.
Dishes prepared and developed include:
- Spiced Pumpkin Pie
- Ghost Pumpkin and Butternut Squash Thai Red Curry
- Table Acorn and Carnival Pumpkin, Apple and Rosemary Soup
- Roasted Mini Winter Pumpkin and Mediterranean Roasted Vegetables with Garlic and Rosemary
