We are seeking to recruit two outstanding Teaching Assistants to join our team.
The primary role of the Teaching Assistant is to support teaching and learning, helping ensure that all students are able to develop positive attitudes to learning, to play a full part in our community and to make excellent progress. Teaching Assistants play a vital role in helping some of our most vulnerable students to become curious, confident learners who aspire towards academic success and are able to develop essential life skills.
Coombe Dean School prides itself on its vision of ‘success built around positive relationships’; we are looking for a candidate who embraces that vision
and will contribute to its success. The SEN team is committed to progress and independence for all learners, whatever their needs.
We would welcome applications from either experienced Teaching Assistants seeking to develop their careers or candidates with evidence of a desire
to work with young people to help them learn, achieve and succeed.
Whichever type of candidate you are, we are looking for:
• a flexible approach that places best outcomes for young people as the top priority;
• mathematics and English qualifications to at least Level 2.
In return we are offering:
• the opportunity to undertake an accredited apprenticeship scheme with up to 20% of work time dedicated to training and development time, a qualification that can be the foundation of further progression towards higher level teaching assistant or teaching roles;
• the opportunity to be part of a vibrant, inclusive, team committed to young people’s outcomes.
Coombe Dean School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Therefore, the successful candidate will be subject to an
enhanced DBS check.
Closing Date: 9am, Wednesday 5th December 2018.
