Year 7 History Pupils Become Architects!

Over the past two weeks, our Year 7 History pupils have had the opportunity to design their own castles as part of their Medieval England topic.

Pupils were tasked with improving William the Conqueror’s original design for motte and bailey castles; my goodness our Coombe Dean pupils rose to the challenge! We received a range of epic designs, full of annotations worthy of a modern architect, including models made from cake, cardboard and all manner of household objects. Some even designed their castles on Minecraft!

I have no doubt that King William would have granted you all a license to crenellate!

Very well done to our wonderful Year 7 Historians. Thank you for your excellent efforts.
