Coombe Dean School recently had the pleasure of hosting 26 students from the French school Collège de Boons in Normandy, in what proved to be a highly successful and enjoyable visit.

The students quickly got to know one another over a shared treat of traditional cream tea alongside "gavottes"— delicious crispy pancakes wrapped in milk chocolate. Conversations flowed as they asked each other about their daily routines and personal tastes, creating a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

The visit continued with some lively games of rounders, where everyone joined in enthusiastically. It was wonderful to see Coombe Dean students demonstrating the school’s core values of community, integrity, and opportunity throughout the visit. Their positive attitude and excellent participation truly made them an asset to the school.

Most importantly, the visit was filled with laughter, conversation, and the making of new international friendships.

A special mention goes to Lilly Koehler-Lewis, Heidi Koehler-Lewis, and Eloise Gorvin-Devieux, who were a tremendous help with serving the cream tea and supporting the rounders games.

All in all, it was a memorable time that everyone thoroughly enjoyed!
