Year 10 Results Morning

There was a real sense of anticipation as Year 10 students gathered to receive the results of their mock examinations.

Before collecting their results, students attended an assembly designed to help them understand what the grades meant and, most importantly, what they should do next. The key message was simple: these are not the final results. There is still time to make improvements, address areas for development and achieve even greater success next summer. Equally, for those students who achieved particularly strong results, the message was clear that there is still work to be done as they continue their journey towards their final GCSEs.

Students then received their results in sealed envelopes, giving them a taste of what next year's GCSE Results Day will feel like. They had the opportunity to share their results with friends while enjoying breakfast and refreshments, with staff on hand to offer encouragement, advice and support.

We were incredibly proud of the way our students conducted themselves throughout the morning. While some were delighted with their results and others recognised that they have work to do, every student left with a clear understanding of their next steps and how to make the most of Year 11.

We look forward to welcoming them back in September, refreshed, focused and ready to tackle the challenges and opportunities of their final year at Coombe Dean.
