Coombe Dean Students Celebrate their Successes!

Students at Coombe Dean School are celebrating! This year’s cohort has demonstrated not only academic excellence but also remarkable resilience and community spirit throughout their sixth form journey.

Headteacher Caroline Granville said:

“This has been an extraordinary group of young people. Their results reflect not only their hard work and talent but also the strength of character they’ve shown in supporting one another and contributing to our school community. We are incredibly proud of every single student.”

Among the standout achievements - there are too many to list them all:

  • Grace, Lucy, Dom, Lennie, and Victoria each achieved three A/A* grades, placing them among the top performers in the school. Lennie and Dom both got A* in Maths and Dom secured an A* in Further Maths too.
  • Maddie and Rachel both secured two A/A* grades, with notable success in English Literature and Psychology. Maddie also achieved Distinction* in Music.
  • Kacper and Nathan both achieved Distinctions in Music.
  • Ryan S. earned an A* in Criminology and an A in Sociology.
  • Grace, Holly, Ruby and Eva achieved an A in Criminology.
  • David and Marco secured A in Computing.
  • Beth, Zac, Toby, Georgia, Ed and Fin all achieved Distinction* in Business Studies.
  • Robyn, Nico, Beth and David achieved Distinction* in Sport.

Many students are now heading to exciting destinations, including university, degree apprenticeships, and specialist training programs. Others are taking gap years or entering employment, equipped with the skills and confidence to thrive.

Emma Osborn, Head of Post-16, added:

“This year group has faced more than their fair share of challenges, but what has stood out most is their resilience and the way they’ve supported each other. They’ve built a strong, caring community and shown real determination to succeed. I’d also like to thank our dedicated staff, whose commitment and encouragement have helped guide these students every step of the way.”
