Coombe Dean School

Come and Support Our Latest Drama Production!

This year we are thrilled to be taking part in the prestigious National Theatre Connections project — an incredible opportunity that allows our students to perform a brand-new play written by a professional playwright, both here at school and on a professional stage.

We have chosen Britney’s Lock, a bold and brilliantly funny new play that follows a group of students in the middle of their GCSE mock exams. Tensions are already high, but everything spirals when one student buys a lock of hair said to belong to Britney Spears… and it appears to have mysterious, possibly magical powers. As pressure builds and loyalties are tested, the group must navigate ambition, rivalry and the strange influence of a pop icon’s legacy.

Join us  31st March and 1st April at 6:30pm in The New Hall at Coombe Dean.

We are also incredibly excited to take the production to The Drum Theatre, Plymouth on 1st May, giving our students the chance to perform on a professional stage.

🎟 Tickets for the school performances are £3, available via ParentPay.
🎟 Tickets for The Drum Theatre performance can be purchased through the Theatre Royal Plymouth website.

Come and support our talented cast — you won’t want to miss it!
