Coombe Dean School

Community Walk 2025

Sunshine, smiles and community spirit prevailed on the annual Community Walk

Friday 4th July marked our much-anticipated annual Community Walk to Wembury and back — a day that brought sunshine, smiles, and a wonderful sense of togetherness.

This year’s route featured a new detour, making the journey a little longer and more challenging than usual. Despite the tougher course, our students rose to the occasion with minimal fuss, showing great determination and positivity every step of the way.

We paused for lunch and some well-earned downtime at the recreational field in Wembury, where students relaxed, socialised, and made the most of the beautiful surroundings. Then it was time to begin the return leg to Coombe Dean — made all the sweeter by a well-deserved treat from the ice cream van awaiting our arrival.

It’s always a privilege for staff to walk alongside our students, sharing stories, laughs, and conversations outside of the classroom. The Community Walk continues to be a special event that brings us all closer together.

Well done to everyone who took part — we’re incredibly proud of you!
