Exeter University Visit: Languages for All

The Language for All programme gave our students a valuable opportunity to hear first-hand about studying languages beyond GCSE level.
On Thursday 29th January, we were delighted to welcome representatives from Exeter University, who visited the school to launch their Languages for All offer. The visit also included student ambassadors, giving our students a valuable opportunity to hear first-hand about studying languages beyond GCSE level. Students from Callington Community College joined us for the event, where they met ambassadors who spoke about the wide range of opportunities that learning a language can offer. Discussions focused on the benefits of continuing languages at AS or A Level, highlighting how language study can open doors to future academic pathways and careers.
The ambassadors explained the strong support available to students throughout their A-Level studies, including guidance regarding university applications. Students also learned about exciting enrichment opportunities such as residential visits and networking events.
Throughout the session, students gained insight into university life, student experience, and employability, developing a clear understanding of how holding a language qualification can enhance future prospects.
