Jane Eyre Performance: A Great Success

Our Christmas production Jane Eyre was a great success.

In the final week of term before the Christmas break, 45 students from Years 7 to 13 delivered an outstanding adaptation of Charlotte Brontë’s classic novel Jane Eyre. Presented in an ensemble style that ensured every cast member remained on stage and fully engaged throughout, the production captivated audiences across three highly successful, sold-out evening performances. Co-Director Gilly Hull led the cast in creating beautiful vocal work, while Music Specialist Trevor Crago oversaw the technical elements, delivering seamless lighting and sound despite an exceptionally short rehearsal period. The production was a powerful showcase of the talent, dedication, and resilience that students at Coombe Dean develop during their time here. Every performer contributed to an exceptional piece of theatre, with particular recognition due to our Sixth Form students, whose professionalism, leadership, and skill anchored each performance. Thank you so much to everyone who came along and watched the performance.
