Coombe Dean School was thrilled to welcome David Binns from Sanako, a cutting- edge web-based language teaching platform that transforms traditional lessons into vibrant, speaking-focused experiences. Our students already use Sanako every week in the language room to boost their confidence and fluency through fun, interactive speaking practice.

The event began with Mrs Koehler-Lewis, who proudly shared how our teachers have studied a wide variety of languages and that an incredible 20+ languages are spoken across our Coombe Dean community!

David then captivated Year 8 students with an inspiring talk about why learning a language matters more than ever in today’s global world. He showed how language skills can open doors to travel, culture, and exciting careers.

It was an energising and memorable visit that reminded us all that learning a language isn’t just about grammar or vocabulary: it’s about connecting, communicating, and exploring the world.
