Coombe Dean School

Senate Meeting

Student voice – Coombe Dean is your school. Your opinion counts.

As a school, we want our students to be able to express their own opinions in a clear, logical and meaningful way.  We also want their voice to be heard, as they are an important part of the school.

That is why each year group representatives were selected to meet with their Senate lead last month. They discussed ways to make possible changes to make the school an even better place for us. On Wednesday 4 February, all year group representatives gathered again for some final sharing of ideas. It was a great success as students were eager to express their views and some ideas were really constructive and could be acted on.

It shows our students' strong sense of belonging to our school and as a community, they all want the school to be the best place for learning. At the same time, they were learning how to think and act independently in preparation for their future adult life.
