Year 8 Learn CPR Skills with Jay's AIM

Our Y8 pupils took part in CPR training last week.

Our Year 8 pupils took an important step toward becoming confident, responsible members of the community this week as they took part in CPR training delivered by Jay’s AIM.

The session equipped students with practical, potentially lifesaving skills, including how to recognise a cardiac arrest, how to perform effective chest compressions, and how to use a defibrillator. Dan from Jay’s AIM was incredibly engaging, guiding pupils through each step and ensuring everyone had the chance to ask questions.

Jay’s AIM is a charity dedicated to reducing sudden cardiac death among young people by raising awareness and providing essential training. Their work empowers young people to act quickly and confidently in an emergency. Our pupils rose to the challenge brilliantly.

Staff were impressed by the maturity, enthusiasm, and teamwork shown throughout the session. Many pupils commented on how valuable it felt to learn a skill that could one day save a life.

We are grateful to Jay’s AIM for delivering such an impactful workshop and helping our students build confidence in a real‑world skill that truly matters.

Let's see a recap of the training here:
